The open source team at iWeb are jetting off to sunny Edinburgh in a few weeks to attend WordCamp Edinburgh 2012. Billed as an informal, community-organized event put together by casual WordPress users and core developers alike, the conference aims to encourage participation, the sharing of ideas and to bring together WordPress users from all backgrounds.
Here at iWeb, we’ve seen WordPress grow from a blogging background to a powerful content management system. WordPress is at the heart of our iWeb Control offering and we’re always keen to see what others have been working on.
Excitement is building at iWeb HQ. What will we be having for breakfast… what will the hotel be like?? Can we visit Edinburgh Castle?
Putting the road trip aspect aside, the sessions this year look interesting. A good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced topics are covered.
Last year’s highlight for me has to have been David Coveney’s talk where the audience was showered in Skittles. If I’m honest I can’t remember the point he was driving home with the sweets, but either way I’m looking forward to his talk this year. I’m sure I’m not the only one with high expectations
